Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced

Rebuilt on the Anvil engine with reworked combat and the modern-day sections cut for good (praise be). I've never been the biggest AC person, but this might be the series' best outing. The Caribbean still sells the pirate fantasy better than most in the genre, and losing the framing device only tightens things up. Some Ubisoft jank and bloat obviously remains, but this is a remake that mostly justifies itself. Fun for a little jaunt, even if a little junky.
