Onimusha: Way of the Sword
Capcom's first Onimusha in twenty years is close to a full reboot, and it lands almost entirely on its combat, which is sharp, reactive, and super fun once the bosses arrive. Musashi is an endearing lead, sold by a licensed Toshiro Mifune likeness and terrific facial animation. It's maddeningly stop-starty early on, yanking control away for another cutscene, and exploration stays thin throughout, but it's definitely fun enough to be worth pushing through.
